Involvement & History

Chris of course started Dashboard Confessional, orignally as a side project while with Further Seems Forever. He has written all of the songs and has been commited to the band since 2000.

Vacant Andys (Guitar/Vocals):
Chris' first real band was a big part of the South Florida punk scene. He sang lead vocals on the songs he wrote for the band (John Owen was the other lead singer).

Further Seems Forever (Vocals):
Chris was the original lead singer. He recorded one EP, From The 27th State, and one full length album, The Moon is Down with them and a few other tracks. The band went on to record more albums with two different singers. They are now ended. However, they did do a one time only reunion show with Chris in 2005 at Bamboozle in NJ.

The Agency (Guitar):
Chris played guitar for the band for a while and played on the album, Engines. Dashboard drumer, Mike Marsh was the leader of this band.

Other Facts:

He recieved his first guitar from his Uncle Angelo at age 15. He was self taught but didn't get serious about music until the end of high school. He is itallian. He is only 5 feet 5 inches tall. His younger brother, Nick, runs the official Dashboard website. His musical interests range all the way from The Beach Boys to Fugazi. Before Dashboard and Further Seems Forever, he tried to start a small band called Red Letter Day with college friend, Jolie Lindholm (mentioned more below).
